Huawei, in fact, hasn’t even announced a time frame when it will launch the Mate 20 Lite, or any other Mate 20-series phone for that matter. The Mate 20 Lite listing, which comes courtesy an online seller in Poland, seemingly confirms long-rumoured design and hardware specifics of the phone in question. The same e-retailer had previously leaked the P20 Lite ahead of its launch in a similar fashion.According to the listing, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite will cost PLN 1,600 (which roughly translates to Rs 30,698). It will be available in two colours: blue and black, and will support dual-SIM. Moreover, the e-retailer is also offering a Huawei AH100 smart scale at no additional cost with the Mate 20 Lite. The Mate 20 Lite will reportedly come with dual front and rear cameras as also a notch on the front. The phone would further come with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It would come with a 6.3-inch 1080p+ display with a 2340×1080 pixel resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone in question would be powered by a Kirin 710 processor which is also found inside the Nova 3i. The Mate 20 Lite is said to come with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. It would run Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI although chances are this may not be the final software version. There are reports that the Mate 20-series will run Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9.0, and even if they don’t ship with it out-of-the-box, these phones should get it soon enough. Huawei is expected to announce EMUI 9.0 at IFA in Berlin.advertisementOn the optics front, the Mate 20 Lite is said to sport a dual rear camera system consisting of one 20MP sensor and another 2MP sensor. On the front, it is said to come with a 24MP+2MP setup.Battery capacity is said to be 3,650mAh which is a fairly substantial one at that.As for design, the Mate 20 Lite doesn’t look like it’s slated to receive a big overhaul over its predecessor phones. The phone, as per the listing, is seen having a prominent notch on the front and vertically aligned dual cameras on the rear.ALSO READ: Huawei will start rolling out Android 9 Pie based EMUI 9 from September, P20-series will get update firstlast_img read more
